NORTH DAKOTA: FAMILY WELLNESS: PHASE 1 REOPENING

FAMILY WELLNESS: PHASE 1 REOPENING

On Thursday, April 30, the Governor’s Executive Order mandating the closure of fitness centers will expire.

Family Wellness will begin an incremental restart plan with phase 1 reopening on Wednesday, May 6.

The Family wellness facility is being prepared, and employees will follow the ND Smart Restart guidelines recommended by Governor Burgum.

To ensure the health and safety of members and staff, Family Wellness is working to:

·Establish physical distancing protocols by properly spacing machines and equipment in workout centers

·Plan appropriate space and usage of fitness studios

·Limit access to congregate areas

·Provide ample hand sanitizer and wipe dispensers for members and staff

·Train and schedule staff teams for ramped up and robust cleaning and sanitizing efforts throughout the facility

·Conduct wellness screenings for staff and supply adequate PPE to our front line employees

The phased reopening approach will follow state guidelines as well as ensure Family Wellness is best serving their members and staff.

Phase 1 reopening, beginning May 6, will include:

·Wellness Center strength/cardio areas open

·Walking/running track open

·Online virtual group fitness classes continue

·9 p.m. weeknight closure for additional cleaning time

·At this time, gymnasiums, group fitness studios, child watch and locker rooms must remain closed. This phased period will be temporary. Over the coming weeks, Family Wellness will continue reopening these other program areas.
