In the wake of Friday's tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut, radio stations are being careful with their playlists.  One song that appears to be a casualty of the shooting is KESHA'S "Die Young".

--Sources say the song has been dropped . . . at least temporarily . . . by radio stations around the country.

--One "music expert" told TMZ that it's similar to the way the DIXIE CHICKS disappeared from country radio after they insulted PRESIDENT BUSH.

--One station that dropped the song is WDAQ in Danbury Connecticut . . . which is only a few miles from Sandy Hook Elementary.

--Morning host (slash) PD Rich Minor says, quote, "Even though it's a fun pop/dance record about seizing the moment, all people are going to hear right now is those two words in the title."

--He adds, quote, "You're never hurt by what you don't play."  

(--Another song that's getting bumped from playlists is Foster the People's "Pumped Up Kicks".  Which is not surprising, since it's about kids having to outrun bullets.)
